Every joint, from the best to the worst, seems to have people who think the food served there is the very best. Even bad barbecue is somebody's favorite.

Peace, Love, and Barbecue

tguerrero's Review of Drexlers Bar-B-Que

  • Sauce: Served hot in pitchers, thin, has some zing to it--cinammon, perhaps?
  • Atmosphere: Ahhh--Houston's 5th Ward--right across the street from 'Midtown Wheels,' and replete with a coin-operated coke machine in the restaurant. BBQ joints get no better, particularly when one factors in the inclusion of Louisana La Roux: 'Love Abductor' on the jukebox!
  • Spare Rib: Still pink, chewy. Good smoky crust, not too
    greasy.
  • Potato Salad: Too dry. Nah!
  • Hot Link: Homemade. Coarse grind, falling
apart. Chewy casing. Spicy (paprika?) Best thing on
menu. I ate WAY too much for the first stop o' the
    day!
  • Beans: Ranch Style - Nothing special
  • Brisket: Brisket: Lean, tender, lightly seasoned. Darn good!
